When is King Charles III's coronation?

King Charles III will be crowned in London’s Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6 May 2023. There will be a national bank holiday on Monday 8 May to mark the occasion when lots of street parties are expected to take place!

Who will attend The King’s coronation?

The Archbishop of Canterbury will perform the coronation ceremony and Camilla, Queen Consort, will become Queen Camilla.

The ceremony will be attended by members of the royal family, important politicians such as the Prime Minister, world leaders and other significant members of the Commonwealth.

Teaching resources to help celebrate The King's coronation
