Macbeth Act 1: EAL resource pack

This free work pack by The Bell Foundation supports learners using EAL who are new to English to access Act 1 of Macbeth when it is being studied as a class text. The aim of the pack is to enable new to English learners to understand the plot of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, to become familiar with the main characters and their situation and to start to predict what might happen later in the play. There is a scene-by-scene summary in accessible English, accompanied by flashcards and DARTs activities. This is a highly visual resource with Manga-style illustrations to appeal to young people.
