What is Teachit Citizenship?
Teachit Citizenship is a tried and trusted education resource used by teachers nationwide. The content published before 2013 was created by Teachit and Collins Education in association with ACT. All content published from 2013 has been created by Teachit – and our dedicated team of teacher contributors. Specialising in secondary Citizenship resources from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4, the online Teachit Citizenship library offers 1,941 pages of classroom materials, schemes of work, lesson plans and teaching tools, all created by working teachers and – thanks to our team of Teachit Citizenship contributors – constantly growing.

How do I find what I’m looking for on Teachit Citizenship?
Using Teachit Citizenship is a piece of cake
All of the resources can be accessed from the main left hand menu. The ones in PDF format
are freely available to everyone and can either be printed out or displayed on a computer screen or interactive whiteboard (IWB). Simply register your details with us for full access to the free PDF versions of the resources. The other file types are for members only.
The resource libraries are organised by topic. You can use our search engine to find resources by keyword or key stage too.

and you’re away! The blue text under the resource title shows you which area and resource collection that lesson appears in. Clicking on a word will take you to all the resources in that area.
What are the benefits of subscribing to Teachit Citizenship?
Becoming a subscriber allows you to:
- Adapt the content of the resources in adaptable Microsoft Office versions, and make them your own. You can differentiate them, personalise them, mix and match ... it's up to you.
- Access our ever-growing collections of video and audio recordings, all of which come with accompanying resources.
- Use our adaptable interactive resources. Some of our lessons include ready-made drag and drop matching and sequencing activities for your IWB. Simply select the star icon for an instantly whizzy lesson.
- Make your own flippable, on screen fridge magnets with interactive Magnet – it's incredibly versatile and easy to use.

Put resources and your own annotations into the My Teachit filing system. The green folder icon
will appear to the right of each resource when you are logged in. Just click on it to add that resource to your My Teachit page. You can then organise the resources into folders and even upload your own files and weblinks.
